When the rotating arms cannot move freely, they can be damaged and need to be replaced. It is best to push both the top and bottom rack into the dishwasher and attempt to manually turn the rotating arm located under the bottom of the top rack before turning on the dishwasher. This will ensure it can move freely and that your dishes will get as clean as possible.

Allow Fresh Air to Dry the Dishes

While many dishwashers offer you the ability to use a heated dryer that is built into the dishwasher to dry your dishes, this dryer is not always the best option to choose. The dryer will use a lot of electricity, which could cause your electric bill to go sky high when you use it. Simply crack the dishwasher door after washing the dishes to allow them to air dry.
